Noodle, one of the big hits of the AICE Israeli Film Festival 2008 and the winner of the Special Jury Prize at the 2007 Montreal World Film Festival 2007, goes on general release in Australia on 18 June.
Starring Mili Avital (The Human Stain with Nicole Kidman, Stargate, Colombian Love), Noodle is the story of Miri, who, at thirty-seven, is a twice-widowed El Al flight attendant. Her well-regulated existence is suddenly turned upside down by an abandoned Chinese boy whose migrant-worker mother has been deported from Israel. The film is a touching comic-drama in which two human beings -- as different from each other as Tel Aviv is from Beijing - accompany each other on a remarkable journey, one that takes them both back to a meaningful life.
'A feel-good crowd pleaser. The performances are spot-on.'
Variety
'…a humane, amusing, comic drama… capturing and heart-warming.'
Ma'ariv
